Volunteering with H.E.A.R.T. 9/11

Due to the recent hurricanes in the past 2 months there has been an increase in our members volunteering in communities outside of NYC. This has been the first time that we had a group from the New York City Latino Carpenters of America go to Puerto Rico to help in the recovery efforts thanks to the District Council and HEART 9/11.

This third wave of Carpenters included Vice President James Mercado, Correspondence Secretary Cecilia Baez Raymond, Local 157 Brothers Oscar Pellot, Pedro Fontanez Jr, Oscar Padilla, James Mercado Jr, and Former Vice President of the UBC Latino Club Angel Cardona.
