We are preparing for our participation in the New York City National Puerto Rican Day Parade on Sunday, June 8th, 2014. March begins @ 11am down 5th Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street. This year on our float, Andre Faria from SixCentz will be bringing us Freestyle Artists Juan Mena, Cnr Trilogy, Joey Kidd, and Jill Tirrell. The Band will be Noel y la 718 who were last year’s 4-hour Dinner Cruise band.
We have received sponsorship from the New York City District Council of Carpenters for the expenses of the float. Local 157 has also sponsored us by paying for the permits for the Parade. All who would like to participate need to attend the Monday, June 2nd Members Meeting to receive the wristbands and get time and location information. One wristband per family will be given out, then on the day of the parade more bands will be provided.
