“Being part of a union levels the playing field, empowering the most marginalized by providing them with a voice. It was meant to be a triumphant breakthrough for those who have long been overlooked, yet regrettably, we have regressed a daunting 20 strides because of institutions that perpetuate the cycle of poverty.
Imperfections may exist within my union, and we have certainly made our fair share of errors. However, one undeniable truth remains: we refuse to exploit our fellow human beings.”
